Good architecture starts with listening — to a place, to the people who’ll use it, to what a project is really asking for. That belief hasn’t changed since day one.

Call it attention to detail. Almost twenty years on, it’s still the whole point.

Detail Studio is a collaborative Adelaide-based practice founded by Lisa and Matt Martin in 2007. What began as a small studio has grown, steadily and deliberately, into a full-service practice working across education, commercial, health, retail and residential design — the kind of breadth that only comes from years of trusted relationships and projects seen through from vision to reality.

From high-tech laboratories and state-of-the-art health facilities to energy-aware homes, functional classrooms and the occasional pizza restaurant — everything we design stays people-focused first: considered, functional, and built to feel like it belongs.
