1. Sacred Heart College announces Marcellin Campus Master Plan

Detail Studio is excited to announce the completion of a new Master Plan for Sacred Heart College. This endeavour presents an opportune moment to delve into ‘the how,’ ‘the who,’ and ‘the what’ of Sacred Heart College, where the aim is clear: to translate ideas into tangible reality, creating a vibrant hub of learning that fosters acceptance, belonging, and holistic development for all.

Guided by the College’s long‑term strategic vision, the Master Plan sets out a considered and ambitious transformation of the Marcellin Campus. The first stage of development will see the expansion of the Br Stephen Debourg Performing Arts Centre, creating a new home for Music, Arts and Technology. The second stage of the Master Plan will introduce a new three‑storey Specialist Learning Building, bringing together state‑of‑the‑art science laboratories, food technology facilities, a contemporary library, cafeteria and a dedicated Year 12 Hub designed to foster collaboration, independence and wellbeing.

Planned future works will further strengthen the campus experience through upgraded boarding facilities, with renewed living, dining and communal spaces that create a warm, supportive and genuinely residential environment. A new Design, Technology and Learning Building will expand opportunities for hands‑on, project‑based learning, offering students access to modern specialist workshops and studios.

At Detail Studio, we are committed to shaping connected, inclusive learning environments that encourage meaningful engagement between students, staff, families and the wider community. This Master Plan represents a significant step toward delivering inspiring, future‑focused spaces that equip contemporary learners with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for success in work, life and citizenship.

  2. Xavier College Riverlea is making headlines

Set to open in January 2027, Xavier College Riverlea Park will be the first school in Riverlea, a master planned residential community.  Stage 1 is a $60M building that’s re-defining learning spaces. This new Administration and Primary School building will be the first stage of this development by Catholic Education SA and will provide a great opportunity to support the local community through the provision of extensive shared facilities through the partnership with both the Property Developer and the Local Council.

This Stage 1 building project will reinforce Xavier College’s presence as a leading and highly recognised school in the northern region of Adelaide and South Australia.Designed as a 6-star, three-storey R-6 Primary hub, the campus centres around open communal zones that flow into dynamic, tech-forward classrooms.
Garnering much attention is the STEM Maker Space; a hands-on learning hub for robotics, coding, 3D design, digital fabrication, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI).

The new campus will also feature science laboratories, a Food technology Centre, rooftop garden, multimedia studio, and a sacred space for school and community gatherings.
Outside, an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Trail will occupy 300 square metres of culturally respectful landscaping, including yarning circles and nature play as well as district-level sporting facilities including a soccer pitch, multi-sport oval, and a two-court indoor gymnasium.

Future Stages will prioritise the Middle and Senior School Buildings, alongside campus-wide facility enhancements. These upgrades will ensure that students from Reception through to Year 12 benefit from state-of-the-art resources at every stage of their educational journey. The new campus will eventually support Reception to Year 12 students on this single campus and
expected to achieve over 1,900 students in total.
